Sarah Coleman is bringing her creative ethos to Fendi
NO NEWS HERE: most fashion houses are seeking to bring back their roots by revamping striking and classic pieces. Only this year, we've seen, for example, one of Louis Vuitton's most feminine and structured classic handbag silhouettes and also Balmain's mid-century PB pattern revamp.
But the newest exclusive model revamped is by another fave: Fendi.
To revive Fendi's traditional designs, the brand assigned the artist Sarah Coleman — known for her repurposing of logo fabrics into anything from chairs to matchbook covers.
Coleman collaborated with Fendi for a limited-edition collection of original pieces and a fresh look on the Miami Design District boutique of the brand, always looking for the next edge where art and fashion collide.
In this project, Sarah merged the history and tradition of Fendi as a style powerhouse with her tendency for unexpected & playful tricks. With a trippy and colorful spin, the Peekaboo ISeeU bags were revisited, with the FF logo pattern made in a yellow leather embossed style, also embroidered with multi-colored threads on a white canvas design and enriched with glow in the dark effect.
