Reebok partners with trailblazing hair colorist Daniel Moon.
Reebok and Daniel Moon have joined forces for Major Reebok, two sneaker silhouettes evoking Moon’s signature hair art.
Moon, who owns the unconventional Hair Los Angeles salon, is known for his boundary-pushing hair transformations that dominate pop culture across famous heads including those of Kevin Abstract, Kristen Stewart, and Hayley Kiyoko.
In the collection, we can see the Classic Leather Legacy and the Club C Legacy enlist vibrant colorways inspired by Moon’s most requested hair colors. The former features leather inclusions on the heel, intended to mimic the nature of a shaved head.
The sock liner of the Classic Leather Legacy is a photograph of an actual hairpiece that Moon worked on, and it serves as a blueprint of the shoes. The Club C Legacy draws from a bright solar green and pink color palette, supplemented with transparent materials inspired by Moon’s Major Apron, an elevated-yet-functional apron used by hairstylists around the world.
Both silhouettes will arrive with one pair of fuzzy laces, nodding to Moon’s long-standing legacy in hair coloring. For the hair artist, these colors represent the same feeling of hyper freedom that his hair art brings to his clients.
“They instantly go in your bloodstream and change your mood to a new tier of exaggerated fun.”
