Margiela x Reebok collab.
The collab between Maison Margiela and Reebok, announced last year, brought another new feature for the summer. In January, they had already dropped the Classic Leather Tabi, with Kim Kardashian's spoiler on her IG Stories. Now, Tabi is back and bigger than ever in a High version.
This time, the 40-year-old silhouette comes with a high-top which will remind you of a lot of gladiator sandals, designed by John Galliano, Maison Margiela’s creative director. The design has a stripped aesthetic, with cutouts that show the Classic Leather interior when it's not in use, becoming a sandal when it's on your feet.
About the details, you can see Reebok's vector symbols and Maison Margiela's logo on the tongue, while the side gets the R's brand logo. It also includes fabric laces, ankle straps, and treaded outsoles. You can choose among Red, White, Black, and the signature Bianchetto style, with a "hand-executed" white paint treatment which reveals the black leather base.
Don't miss the drop on June 18th, available for US$595 for the tonal models and US$650 for the Bianchetto pair, on Reebok's and Maison Margiela's websites.
