Peter Do is the designer that keeps breaking out of his comfort zone
Behind the looks of the world’s most in-demand women such as Zendaya, Solange & Beyoncé, there isn't just a brand.
Instead, there's a collective of designers with bubbling ideas and concepts.
The Brooklyn-based designer Peter Do, who previously worked for Céline, created, back in 2018, a namesake design collective with 4 friends he met online (on Tumblr, to be exact) as a sort of experiment.
Their goal was — & continues to be — to build a different fashion culture from the one they had lived in while working for that industry. They wanted to change the status quo of over-consumption & giving voice to just one person. Peter Do values material quality, teamwork, process & tailoring like the very core of everything.
The first buzz about Peter Do started on Instagram. Without a PR or sales team, Peter wanted the clothes to do the talking. Now, with an online store carefully designed, they can have the closest relationship possible with clients, even during lockdown times.
Peter Do's youthful experimental approach gets even clearer in the Spring/Summer '21 collection as the collective explores how leather can be softer & playable. By taking that multifaceted material, the new drops arrived with a fresh look while still maintaining that strong cut of Do's designs.
The fits in sober tones got a special paint with bags from the collab with MEDEA, a Milan-based brand by twin sisters known for their provocative bags in pure leather.
