How nice could carpets in bright colors, shiny floors, wallpapers with almost hallucinogenic prints be? They represent the creative freedom of the designer from the 1970s. Before Pinterest became the benchmark for minimalist chairs and sofas, people wanted exaggerated, expressive, yet comfortable seatings.

Maybe after 1 year — or more — of sameness and seclusion, people are more willing to try new things, even if it's on furniture. The Sesann Lounge is one of those timeless ones that is making a comeback, with its organic and informal forms beautifully represented in leather.

The Sesann Lounge was designed by Italian architect and designer Gianfranco Frattini in the '70s and has been revisited by decorators to be part of today's life, so it's not hard to find it in the armchair version as well.

One of the forerunners of the Italian design movement, Frattini created other unforgettable leather pieces, such as the Tati and Lina armchairs and the Ciak sofa.
