Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Rolls-Royce.
Last week, Rolls-Royce announced the very exclusive Boat Tail, a launch of the Coachbuild line, a new division of exclusive products from the British automaker, just as Porsche and Bentley already do. For 28 million pounds, it cost nearly double the price of the Bugatti La Voiture Noir, the car that held the status of the most expensive in the world until now and began to raise suspicions about buyers.
Only 3 examples of the Boat Tail were made, with all the body paint, wheels, and leather seats in blue, but not any blue. This car also has a double cooler designed to house and specifically cool Armand de Brignac champagne. Beyoncé and Jay-Z's fave color and champagne, mystery solved.
The custom convertible that took years to be made was inspired by J-Class yachts made in the early 20th century. You can see the long tail like a boat and some parts of the structure inspired by a deck. With all the vibe of spending a day at sea, Boat Tail has a luxurious picnic kit inside, with cocktail tables that swivel out of the body and an umbrella that extends from the center of the car.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Rolls-Royce's CEO, calls it the company's "most ambitious project yet." It looks like something from the royal couple.
Do they have a garage like Daniel Arsham's? Take a look.
