Bella Hadid brings the wildest side of Burberry's new Leather Pocket Bag
Another trip to the past, highlighting a nostalgic bag: BURBERRY's new POCKET BAG archive-inspired collection took inspiration from old times.
The campaign features one of the most famous faces in fashion, Bella Hadid, who brings her beauty and feminine power, inspired by the Burberry animal kingdom – established by Burberry's founder Thomas Burberry and reinterpreted by Riccardo Tisci and one of the brand’s house code.
"It was so amazing to see Bella Hadid bring this to life as the panther. She has this fierce power and raw femininity that perfectly embodies the animal spirit," said Riccardo Tisci on Burberry's 'Gram account.
Hadid appears inside a stylized wooden art crate, channeling the mood and movements of the famously elegant wild cat.
In the video, an actual panther prowls around in the warehouse behind her, while in the stills, she embraces a sand-hued statue of one.
Heritage details are due to leather details and their bold logo graphic draws equestrian influences. Made in Italy, the leather bag is refined with contrast stitching, hand-painted borders, a reinforced handle, as well as a removable strap. Peep the contrast of reality and fantasy in the campaign images and versions of the POCKET BAG below.
Twice is a charm? Not for everyone. This is the 2nd time Bella Hadid is placed in a box to advertise a product and raises questions about being placed as the product itself. For her, the shooting day for POP Mag cover was, in her words, "one of her favorite days ever", but anyway, people are getting deeper thoughts on subjects like women's bodies objectification nowadays and it's definitely something that got us thinking. Drop your thoughts on our 'Gram post about it.
The Pocket Bag is made in a variety of sizes and colors, and is available for purchase in select Burberry stores globally and at ae.burberry.com.
