Aleali May’s AJ 14 Fortune and this week's best drops.
Aleali May has found, no doubts, her definite spot in the streetwear world for being the first female designer to create a genderless Jordan’s range.
Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 Fortune is not only a treat for the eyes of any Nike fan, it also leads the best sneakers releases of the week. The new member of the Jordan family is a fusion of street and high-end details, as effortless as any of the fits she holds.
For this new collab, the designer chooses once more to celebrate the place where she came from. From the bangles May’s grandma passed down to her during childhood, she came up with a snkr that's a blend of white leather and jade ornaments on the midsole, along with gold accents that make it clear that it’s May we are talking about. It's to be released on August 19 for US$190.
WANT SOME MORE?
Kids of Immigrants x Vans Old Skool Anything is Possible.
The third take of the LA-based creative collective with the footwear brand results in a construction that's anything but simple for one of its most classic models. This time, the cream colorway comes together with patent leather, velvet, and paisley. It's to be released between August 18 and 20 – but the price is yet to be confirmed.
Nike Dunk Low Crazy Camo.
Released on August 18 for US$110, these might be the perfect kicks for those bored by the common two-tone Dunks. With its different camouflage patterns mixed, these leather uppers are definitely not ordinary.
JUUN.J x Reebok Pump Omni Zone II.
On the other hand, the newest Reebok release is for those who have no problem claiming basic as a mantra. The latest collection arrived with three leather boot-like sneakers in three monochromatic schemes: white, black, and brown. It's to be released on August 19 for US$280.
New Balance 2002R Protection Pack.
New Balance keeps proving that the ‘00s are still here with its performance running shoes being total objects of desire to compose streetwear fits. Made of durable suede, the Protection Pack comes in three already-known colorways: Rain Cloud, Phantom, and Sea Salt. It's to be released on August 20 and the expected price is US$130.
And there are more drops to come that are so worth the wait, just as adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 Fadazu, first seen in one of Ye’s tweets – and of course Donda. Don’t forget about Donda.
While we wait for all of it, let’s guess what story the snkrs royalty Aleali May might tell us in the near future. Have you already heard the one about Califia? Check it out here.
