Just dropped: New Balance 2002R Protection Pack.
Among many fresh new silhouettes, the most popular NEW BALANCE drop of 2020 might be a bit surprising.
The 2002R silhouette, firstly released back in 2010 as a fresh take on the original 2002 kicks, bets on suede to give the popular performance sneakers a new approach.
In 2010, this silhouette got much attention for being the forefront of performance running shoes as an updated version of the typical dad sneakers — with comfort for days while keeping the brand's lineage of gray suede running shoes.
Continuing on what's turning out to be one of the most successful NB silhouettes in history, the brand is dropping this July the 2002R Protection Pack. The new collection comes prepared in three colorways: Rain Cloud, Phantom, and Sea Salt.
All being sold for US$150, the drop gives the design a glance of abstract in roughly cut out suede panels with unfinished edges, something similar to what the Japanese brand Comme des Garçons did last year in leather for the collaborative AF1 Mid with Nike.
Keep your eyes peeled for the drop in selected retailers, as well as on Asphaltgold and New Balance webstores in men's sizing.
