New Balance x Casablanca's FW21 line: the NB XC-72

Casablanca is is keeping up the vibrancy of their FW21 Grand Prix line with more opulent Monaco energy and a new household-name partner joining the line one more time: New Balance.

We already introduced you to the sun-soaked line of elegant apparel that combines daytime athleisure with late-night casino aesthetics through an array of diverse pieces from track suits to evening gowns here, now we'll take you through the expertly-stitched details and smooth suede of their newest member: the NB XC-72. 🍊

Not the first collab between the two powerhouses, their New Balance 327 drop made our list of 2020 top faves thanks to its boldly bright suedes in lush hues of orange and green atop a classically sleek silhouette, inspired by a sunny tennis court scene. The retro energy and signature color palette from Casablanca's designer Charaf Tajer remains present in the new release, along with more smooth-yet-durable suede.

Its bright hues and premium material make the pair instantly drool-worthy, and have us automatically daydreaming about the sultry resort luxury that the collection as a whole embodies. Continuing with the line's overall inspiration from edgy Formula 1 sportswear, the silhouette is described by Tajer as “a new shape inspired by cars and Formula 1” — and the sporty look is apparent off the bat. So far, two colorways have been teased in addition to the classic orange and green: yellow with black and orange, and a crisp all-white version.

Release details have yet to be announced, but rumors suggest that the New Balance collab may drop as soon as this month. Keep your eyes peeled.
