Loewe collab with Paula’s Ibiza.
This will be the first post-pandemic summer for many countries, and Loewe has prepared a fresh return outdoors and with the smell of the sea. In yet another collab with Paula’s Ibiza, the creative director of the Spanish brand Jonathan Anderson was inspired by the summers of his youth to create a breathable and colorful capsule collection.
The designs have a Mediterranean chic + summer in the city aesthetic, with the concept of being light, uncomplicated, easy to wear, always produced craft-led, lit by Loewe's touch.
The collection presents new formats to adapt to the summer such as deconstructed blazers and oversized dresses printed with parrots, doves, and crocuses. And we can't talk about Loewe without mentioning their handmade leather bags. In this collab, they follow the tropical inspiration, with strawberry, lemon, and pineapple bags to accompany a refreshing breakfast by the sea.
In this capsule, the anagram basket bags are woven in Colombia by female artisans from a collective that allows the craftswomen to be financially independent and educate their children. It's always important to remember that sustainability is not just about recycling, this support for communities and the appreciation of handicrafts causes a real renewal in the design industry cycle. We have already shown you how Loewe has been working responsibly with people and the environment here.
This tropical, responsible, and inviting summer collection arrives on May 15th, so let's go to the beach.
Get ready for the hot summer releases.
