discover where the Boyarovskaya's deconstructed tailoring
The Paris-based womenswear brand Boyarovskaya was founded back in 2016. Maria Boyarovskaya, who partners with fashion photographer Artem Kononenko, is a former designer for Givenchy, and John Galliano, and turns her extensive expertise into the new apparel pieces we're about to get a closer look at.
Steeped in elevated simplicity, the brands' designs feature unexpected cuts and deconstructed tailoring that exude an effortless Parisian cool. That brings us to the main characteristic we saw Maria has in common with the big brands she worked with: it's pretty clear her ability to make one of a kind leather pieces.
For extra versatility and durability, the Boyarovskaya FW20 collection lineups spectacular skirts, bottoms, jackets, bags, complete with understated, curved cuts and slashed fabrics like leather.
And, yeah, since this collection dropped, they are part of the official PFW calendar.
To describe even better the label's universe, we can say that the pieces are conceptual and recognized for their distinctive approach to contemporary refinement as much as they are for deconstructed tailoring.
The prove is the Boyarovskaya SS21 collection, which is already out and counts on new-classic deconstructed pieces like half-leather jackets, square bags & midi skirts with side cuts.
The sources of inspiration are, for sure, a big deal behind the duo's minds and creations, but their references share space with lots of creativity & aim to innovate in apparel pieces that last longer than just trends.
