what would you keep in your Boba Fett snkrs pocket?
It’s time for another Star Wars x Adidas collaboration to keep the 40th-anniversary celebrations for The Empire Strikes Back going. The Top Ten Hi Boba Fett is the next major collaboration sneaker by the brand. This is the 4th collab with Lucasfilm that’s dedicated to characters from Episode V of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, following the releases of sneakers inspired by Luke Skywalker Stan Smiths, and the Lando Calrissian and Stormtrooper NMD R1s.
Drawing from his famous battle armor, the shoe takes on an olive green upper with “battle scars” detailing, a special Boba tongue tag, red trims, yellow eyestays, and his badges at the heel and medial collar. Rounding out the look is a large brown pouch on the lateral collar which acknowledges his utility belt.
The once-basketball-icon covers its smooth leather in a combination of Trace Green and Scarlet borrowed from the bounty hunter’s custom Mandalorian armor. Several of the sneaker’s details are reminiscent of the character’s armor, including the military green leather upper that features holes and cracks just like Boba Fett’s original outfit.
Inside, the sock liner shows Boba Fett standing at Lando Calrissian’s base next to Darth Vader’s troopers. The sneaker also features a side pouch and, on the inside flap of the attached pocket, his iconic line is printed:
“You can run, but you’ll only die tired.”
Although Star Wars fans can’t snag the shoes quite yet, shoppers can visit adidas.co.uk to set a calendar reminder or sign up for email notifications so they can be alerted when the sneakers are available — set to release at the Adidas uk webstore on September 24th for approximately $111 USD.
