Volkswagen presents e-BULLI prototype
Based on the 1966 Type 1 Samba Bus, e-BULLI merges the iconic microbus with eClassics electric power, a company specialized in electric car conversions. 'Cause 2020 hippies demand environmentally friendly transport.
Bulli is Type 1's nickname in Germany & e-BULLI, Volkswagen's newest concept vehicle, comes equipped with the drive system components of the brand's latest electric vehicles. Its battery is a 45 kWh pack that lasts approximately 200 km (124 mi) between charges, getting to a top speed of approx 80 mi/h & its battery charged up to 80% in 40 min.
Produced in Hannover, Germany, the vintage vibe keeps on coming with e-BULLI's orange and white leather interior & panoramic folding roof. It all blends new and old design elements, like the analog speedometer with digital display showing range and charge level 🔋.
The finish piece is planned to be sold starting at around $70,000.
