The Shoe Surgeon took an exclusive sneaker to the metaverse.
In virtual currency or a form of expression, the NFT is no longer an internet myth and has become... reality.
The style industry was not left behind and promptly began to explore this new universe, or rather metaverse.
And in this space of creations that goes beyond limits, Dominic Ciambrone, the Shoe Surgeon, feels at home.
In collab with poker big-name Phil Ivey and SneakerCon, Ciambrone's design was introduced by Moments' auction, a new NFT platform linked to A5 Labs.
The project isn’t only the debut of The Shoe Surgeon in the metaverse but it’s also part of an auction that ended in early November, which had as prizes a video of Phil Ivey losing a hand of US$675,000, and of course, an exclusive design by Ciambrone.
The premium leather silhouette pays homage to the shirt Ivey wore during Season 6 of High Stakes Poker. Ivey's hand, an ace and six of diamonds, can be seen on the bottom of the right tongue with chip-shaped details.
In addition to owning the physical version of The Shoe Surgeon's project, the auction winner holds its NFT right to the metaverse, where leather aesthetics have gained more attention with each new release.
Everyone just wants to get their hands on something that no one else has.
