The Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker Nike SB inspired by a Porsche.
Away from the ramps, Wair also masters four-wheeled vehicles.
Nike Dunk SB Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker's release proved that there’s one thing the skateboard face and the auto enthusiast share, besides the passion for cars and their flawless interiors: The ability to turn the greatest references into cutting-edge leather designs.
While Ishod has been making the magic happen on skateboards for a while, Walker has been collecting cars and also spread streetwear takes through his brand, Serious, during 15 years. What a match.
Wair, who teamed up with Nike for the first time in 2016 for his own signature shoe, has always been aware of what street style stands for.
Since then, more designs have been released released with the pro skater's bold touch.
Taking some timeless inspirations to build this Nike SB design, the results are kicks matching the original hues of Walker’s favorite car — red, white, and blue — all supported by a material that lasts as much as their connection with wheels.
The 1971 Porsche 911 T 277 from Walker’s collection was the key to transforming a special Dunk High edition into race-inspired sneakers that feature a mix of aged sail leather quarters and mudguards and smooth leather flaps and heels.
And Porsche’s inspiration didn’t end there, bringing also Nike's branding written in the classic car’s font on the midsole.
The uppers come with details such as the number 277 engraved on the heels and a small Urban Outlaw logo, Walker’s movie in which the sports car is the protagonist, on the side panel.
A striking take even in high speed, huh?
Put your Nike on to ride on any wheels.
