The bigger the better, according to Nike Bigger Swoosh
When it comes to brand recognition, Nike blows the competition out of the water.
The instantly recognizable swoosh is familiar to all, whether or not you're an active athlete or sneakerhead fanatic. That noteriety is partially what makes Nike so influential, able to penetrate basically ever demographic of consumer from counterculture streetwear fans, all-American athletes, or on-the-go professionals who just need something comfy and high-quality. Classic Nike pairs that feature especially large swooshes have even set the scene for future designer upgrades, like the 1995 Nike Air Grudge that's considered a direct ancestor of the Nike Blazer Off-White.
Nike knows the power the swoosh carries, which becomes obvious through one of the latest campaigns centered around the motif. An initiative titled 'BIGGER SWOOSH' is taking cities around the globe by storm with a slogan that seems to unabashedly throw shame at the competition: "FUCK STRIPES, MAKE THAT BIGGER SWOOSH".
This message has been plastered around cities like Paris and Milan, drumming up hype for big-swooshed Nike styles and directing viewers to biggerswoosh.com, which is currently password protected and leaves a cryptic message in anticipation of September 26th. WE'RE NOT SURE WHAT'S TO COME, BUT YOU BETTER STAY TUNED FOR SOMETHING BIG.
