Reimagining the first Adidas designs with Lotta Volkova
Stylist LOTTA VOLKOVA — notable for her work styling and consulting brand like Vetements, Gosha Rubchinskiy, and Balenciaga — has released her own Adidas Originals collaboration. Inspired by classic sportswear colors, the various sports clubs she was a part of growing up, and, ofc, the iconic heritage of Adidas, Lotta Volkova brings her uncompromising vision to this partnership. Volkova names “the earliest pieces of clothing Adidas ever produced” as references for her designs.
In the world of visual culture, stylist Lotta Volkova is celebrated for blurring the lines between streetwear and high fashion through a remix of inspiration and information.
The exclusive collection of footwear, ready-to-wear apparel, and accessories features mint green wide-legged tracksuits, bold thigh-high leg warmers, and platform slides all throughout.
Reimagining iconic heritage of the three stripes, the Adilette Sabot Mule is made from black, white and red leather and came from Lotta's idea to make an Adidas heeled shoe, but without losing the sports references, of course. The open toe platform footwear style features a bold Trefoil logo on the upper strap framed by Three Stripes branding. The SL72, an original silhouette designed for athletes in the '70s is also done in two colorways and features a retro design defined by a lightweight nylon upper that's accented by suede panels and leather details.
The collection is available now at adidas.com/lotta_volkova and selected stores worldwide.
