RAF SIMONS continues his history of innovation
Raf Simons is never limited or constrained by concepts, quite the opposite, time has shown us that his work can become even stronger. This was obvious in the FW'21 in which the Belgian designer co-created a young, genderless collection focused on comfort and adaptation. This concept applies to footwear creations too.
After the debut of Cylon Boot last year, Simons presented the Cylon 21, an update of the previous model with stronger and more innovative forms. This new version has a fairly bulky shape in 4 colorways: full gray, black/blue, pink/white, and black/yellow. The structure is mostly made of a premium suede, with the lateral in smooth leather and suede constructions.
Cylon 21 is part of Raf Simons' history of adaptation and innovation. That's how he became an authority on snkrs. In 20 years of career, he participated in the creation of memorable collab designs with the most respected brands in the industry.
With Adidas, Simons made the RS Replicant Ozweego in 2018, he added three acidic colorways that feature a deconstructed upper with its gel bubbles replaced with cut-out holes. For Calvin Klein, he created he brutal 205W39NYC Strike 205 constructed with a mix of calf leather and suede and featuring a unique lace-up closure with metal rivets.
But if you, like Simon, are always looking to the future, don't miss out on your Cylon 21, available on the Asphalt Gold website for €450.
