Prototyp& is a leather-craft-passionate Brazilian studio
Under the concept of shop floor, the architect Felipe Protti created PROTOTYP& chĂŁo de fĂĄbrica: a design studio with a workshop that also works as a showroom, in which projects and designs are created incorporating architecture, scenography, product, and design.
CHĂO DE FĂBRICA means shop floor, the nomenclature used by engineers, designers, and architects to designate knowledge of a factory's production techniques and materials. It is also a term used to designate the location where the manufacturing process is carried out.
The studio has a range of chairs â like the Dots, a natural leather seat with a beautiful carbon steel structure and microtextured painting â and other products, such as leather sofas in caramel tones like the Boomer.
The space is based in SĂŁo Paulo, Brazil, and is also an open-door showroom with a prototype workshop where projects involving small suppliers in dynamic and hand-made processes are created and executed.
