Porsche aficionados: 2 floors of garage goals
Day dreaming about setting up your ultimate wheels collection is standard for any car enthusiast, and this two-story customized garage located in the busy city of Bangkok nearly outshines the stellar Porsche collection within.
With neon-lit car lifts and even an upper living area ideal for admiring the surrounding wheels, we're basically ready to move in.
The centerpiece of the upstairs living space honestly deserves its own display: a custom Raspberry Red 964 sofa, full-upholstered in leather and even sporting working headlights. Even better, no 964s were harmed in the making of the one-of-a-kind piece ― the chair actually uses spare panels that were removed from the owner's road car during a restoration at Porsche Center Bangkok, allowing the design to perfectly match the owner's real-life Raspberry Red model.
As the collector explains, “The chair actually took longer to complete than the restoration of my other 964! The design took many revisions and we had to think about how one would ‘step into’ the sofa. We ended up lowering the front as much as possible and designing a new part that could accommodate the Porsche badge. We also went through some upholstery revisions to match the interior leather of the 964."
The headlights on the piece remain functional through dipped beams, and fitted brake discs enhance the ultrarealistic look. With expert craftsmanship courtesy of the Porsche Center Bangkok, the individually sprayed parts perfect the look for the ultimate collector's chair.
