Pops of color in this la custom home and workplace
The minds behind this LA loft are photographer Jack Strutz, Casha Doemland, and Ben Smith. This entire place, beautifully done and functionally decorated, was done to mold the space according to the function and completely transformed to precisely fit their needs.
After put their eyes on it, they knew this was the right place to live. After that, lots of transformations came up, and we got our favorites detailed right here.
As a photographer, Jack thought "why not share a home and workplace?" and that's how this functional three-bedroom, live-work loft space is also his studio. When the studio isn’t being used for photo shoots, it becomes a work area for crafts, yoga, motorcycles, building projects, etc.
For him, the kitchen is definitely the heart of the apartment and the primary entertaining space. We got our over the place through and got super excited to show you a little more of this amazing space — and, of course, take a closer look at the sectional couch and leather chair.
In between this combination and pops of colors, we spot this vintage Yellow Chair, that came from a mysterious source and have been found at Pepe’s, in Santa Monica. Nothing better to compliment a custom place, then a vintage leather piece to set the timeless mood.
In the middle of this colorful place, there's a spot for luxe and comfort style too. For who want the items of home and finishes choose to last for the long haul, the Mello Taos Brown leather sectional is the ideal choice.
With a leather display that subtle character markings such as insect bites, healed scars and grain variation, this piece developed a beautiful patina over time: a perfect match for a spot that tells so many stories. This statement piece, besides being the perfectly relaxing sofa, counts on is soft but strong leather, and super easy to keep it clean.
The advice Jack gave @ an Apartment Therapy article, says all we need to end this content: "Always start with function first. Consider how the space will be used before beginning to decorate. Then find a way to make that functionality beautiful".
