Playboi Carti self-styled for Givenchy's latest campaign
For his first campaign, Givenchy's creative director, Matthew Williams, called in some of the most stylish on the scene to bring their signature looks to his debut spring collection.
Among the group ― which included names like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid ― is Playboi Carti, who has displayed leather-studded fits since his first posts on Instagram. His fit includes a white mesh tank top offset by a dark green leather bomber jacket, allowing him to slip off the piece to catch some shots of his signature tattoos. Other shots captured key leather pieces from the collection, brought to life by each individual's unique visual personality.
About the campaign, Williams said “My ethos is about the luxury of infusing clothes with your own personality, not being worn by them. In each of these portraits, a strong character wears a look that reflects who they are: They’re the ones who bring the clothes to life.”
And strong character is something Playboi Carti knows how to show off, as he released his album he's been teasing since early 2020. With executive production by Kanye West, Whole Lotta Red is referred to by Carti as “mY b3st w0rk YET.”
