Palm Angels' Smiley collection

Behind Palm Angels there's a new take on American culture.

Founded by Italian photographer & former art director of Moncler, Francesco Ragazzi, the brand represents a fresh side to luxury apparel. It all started when Ragazzi published a photography book that documented skateboarding, leading him to create a brand that merged this kind of American culture with his Italian perspective.

With the latest Smiley collection, Palm Angels made it clear that it deserves its space among luxury brands. The use of leather on designs usually explored by mainstream brands allowed the creative team to have a constant drive to bring high-end details to the table.

The collection is mainly represented by the Burning Head leather Keychain and the Burning Head Varsity Jacket, which gives a leather perspective to bomber jackets.

They also released a Palm Angels x Clarks Originals collab with a suede moccasin in black and bright lilac.

The designs can be best described, as Ragazzi did himself, as the mix of his Italian sartorial background with the laid back vibes he admires so much in skaters around LA.
