METCHAs x HYPESTEINs GOAT SNEAKER PICKS

HYPESTEIN'S history was made during Vedad Fisic's teenage years. The creator of the shop dedicated himself to extra hyped sneakers, so u can only imagine that his all-time favorite kicks are legends. 🏆

In our visit to his store in Stockholm we had a chance to see his gems up close, so we needed to have a shot on creating the GOAT 8 SNEAKERS LIST with Fisic. Check it out.

8. AIR JORDAN 6 TRAVIS SCOTT

A pick from METCHA to yours truly, 'cause there's no better way to start our list than with this La Flame edition that glows in the dark when the flashes hit the soles. The Cactus Jack signature brings durable suede canvas to Scott’s Nike Air branding and enhaced exterior cargo pockets to keep your stash safe.

7. OFF WHITE X NIKE DUNK LOW

When we spotted them on Hypestein's shelves, we knew the Off White x Nike Dunk Low had to be one of our picks. Virgil Abloh sure made his bold style was the main thing in this collab — bringing hoops and skateboarding legacies to the force of street style. And you absolutely can't forget the leather cover & Abloh's patented zip tie to close the deal.

6. OFF WHITE X NIKE BLAZER

The owner of Hypestein chose his sixth ultimate favorite sneakers so damn right: the collab Off White x Nike Blazer, especially in the color Grim The Reaper, showed that spooky season can last all year long. This gem features translucent uppers with leather and suede detailing & OFF-WHITE text on the sides, giving it that exclusive touch.

5. AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH

From 2018 to the ones who can catch it, these for real extra exclusive kicks are one of the best sneakers to give you that AJ's classic vibes filled with timeless leather to complete the look. Hypestein's gem has written on the back NO PHOTOS and anti-reselling messages, like Not For Resale on the midsole & Please Crease on the toe box — a call out for people to actually wear their limited edition kicks.

4. ADIDAS YEEZY BOOST 700

Being the successor of the 1st Yeezy 700, dropped in 2017, the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 is an update to the bold all-black multi-layered mesh upper with suede. On Fisic's words, "Yeezys are not the everyday kind of shoes, you can’t pull them off so easily, but you can def wear them with cargo pants".

3. NIKE DUNK LOW PLUM

If you are looking for brand new drops, the third runner of Hypestein's picks is the 2020 version of Nike Dunks, originally released in 2001. This comeback comes in a purple shaded premium suede upper with a red swoosh and is a complete fave for color contrast fans (like us).

2. AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO x TRAVIS SCOTT HIGH

Yup, it's time for this grail. The runner-up for Vedad Fisic's list is "out of this world." He picked this brown suede collab especially because of the high top & its color blocking. These Jordan 1s are a homage to what growing up felt like for Travis and, since it's drop, has a def place in pretty much every sneakerheads' memories.

1. NIKE DUNK LOW PURPLE PIGEON 2006

The ultimate Hypestein pick: Nike Dunk Low. This 2006 drop inspired by the NYC Pigeon Dunks limited edition gives purple rain to that iconic 2005 drop. With soft but bold suede all over it, the Dunk was a turning point that brought the passion for sneakers into a mainstream phenomenon. Pretty much the definition of hype.
