Margiela X Reebok Tabi Instapump Fury sneakers
When you think of Martin Margiela, you probably first think of the Tabi boot, right?
New versions of this model keep on coming, and the last one is a hybrid of Reebok’s trailblazing sneaker from 1994, the Instapump Fury, with Maison Margiela’s signature Tabi from 1988. The two brands joined forces for their first footwear partnership to see what it would be like if they synthesized their most famous shoe styles.

The Tabi Instapump Fury will be available in a heeled version called the Tabi Instapump Fury Hi and a flat version called the Tabi Instapump Fury Lo.
In the heeled version, the shoe sole reinterprets the original sole of the Instapump Fury sneaker, launched in 1994, which is being remade for the first time; while the flat one refers to Retrofit sneakers, originally created in 2018.
The upper, which draws from each template the same percentage, layers the inflating bladder atop a leather-constructed base, the latter taking on either an 8-hole or Chelsea styling complete with the ever-famous tabi toe.
Six colorways are expected, including solid white, black, yellow, as well as red, white, and blue, which will be a nod to Reebok's original colorway.
The mash-up of the most familiar shoe codes of the two collaborators is also the first of other Reebok x Margiela collaborations that will arrive: the brands promised even more varieties of hybrid shoes over the next several seasons.
“The shoe builds on Maison Margiela’s analyses of the conversation between humanity and technology in the digital age,” says John Galliano, Margiela’s creative director, for The Cut.
Starting at $1,150, the shoe is now available at the Maison Margiela store on Crosby Street in Manhattan, as well as on Maisonmargiela.com.
