Magnifique mash-up of Chinese roots & Parisian design
There's something about an organic shaped seating that just lasts thru the constant evolution of aesthetics.
The Lemon Sole low lounge chair designed by Kwok Hoï Chan and manufactured by Steiner in France back in the '70s has caught our eye for its unmistaken shape and patina. The bold tubular metal frame gets its balance due to the leather upholstered seat that highlights a smooth & comfortable feel to the piece.
Kwok Hoï Chan was an emblematic designer especially because of his trademark of a suspended tubular frame combined with an organic shaped seating. After emigrating from Hong Kong, Kwok paired up with the Parisian manufacturer Steiner and, while staying loyal to his Chinese origins, created pieces that blended both cultures.
Even tho the Lemon Sole is a rare design, SHOP M's showroom was able to snatch an exclusive cream chair from One Ordinary Mansion, a furniture dealer from Seoul, Korea.
