Learn how to turn your house into a home with leather furniture.
Especially in the last two years, the place where we live is no longer just a shelter to return to at the end of the day. We’ve never stayed so much inside, so now, our homes have become more than ever an extension of ourselves. They are “an extension of our style and how we live our life.”
For Bo Carney, co-founder of Mohawk General Store and designer for her own apparel brand Smock, it is essential to have “good design, craftsmanship, and beauty in all aspects of life.” And we can see all that on her Instagram feed – between pics of travels, outfits, and her own creations.
Living an enthusiastic life, Bo could never stay still. She was born in Korea and moved to the USA when young to soon go back to Korea again. With many twists and turns, she studied fashion in Milan – where she also met her husband and business partner – and ended up in Los Angeles, home to her store and brand.
The creative, just like her brands, doesn’t limit herself to fit only certain categories. Inspired by so many different things – art, books, music, found objects – all her authenticity is expertly translated into the clothes she makes and the interior design of her home.
And this becomes even more evident when we check her living room. Her identity is reflected on a black leather sofa by Roche Bobois – a perfect fit for her daringness and boldness – that shares the space with some travel memories. There's no excess.
As Bo herself told us, if we had to define her style in one word, it'd be balanced.
“I think more and more people will realize that the environment can only handle so much waste and excess.”
Draw some inspiration from Bo’s feed and start turning your house into a home with all the essentials: Leather furniture and personal authenticity.
