Keanu Reeves debuting a brutally violent comic book
Keanu Reeves is breaking new ground with his latest job: comic-book author. BRZRKR is a 12-issue original comic book series about an immortal warrior.
With a promise of being a story with plenty of plot twists and interesting turns complete with brutally violent moments, the Alessandro Vitti illustrated, action-packed and hyper-violent BRZRKR is about a fictional demi-god named Berzerker, who has been fighting battles and wandering the world for centuries. In present day, Berzerker performs dangerous jobs for the U.S. government in exchange for the truth about his existence. Reeves’s character isn't just a stoic butt-kicker: The Berzerker sports a good sense of humor, he’s a “warm guy” yet “world weary” from his past.
Keanu is no stranger to the worlds of sci-fi and fantasy, and the film star will be seen again this September in the sci-fi comedy film Bill & Ted Face the Music, plus he'll reprise his role as Neo in the upcoming action film The Matrix 4, the fourth installment of The Matrix franchise due to release in 2022.
"I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically", said Reeves. Keanu Reeves launches his co-created comic book BRZRKR with Matt Kindt in October and it has also been reported that Netflix has already signed up for a live-action adaptation of the upcoming graphic novel.
