In all the ways he can, Chella Man.
Chella Man is a 20-year-old writer, model, and actor who is also a deaf, Jewish, Chinese, queer artist and activist. The list could go on and on, and it won't get closer to define him.
At age 17, Chella started to study computer science, and since then he uses technology as a media to educate the world on trans visibility, queer culture, disability, and diversity.
No doubt in mind that Chella is using every means possible to share with the world his perspective on trans visibility, diversity, queer culture, and living with a disability. You may know him from his Tedx Talk or from his artwork.
He also expresses ideas through fashion. Chella Man's very first collection and collaboration with Opening Ceremony are said to be “an invitation to strive towards a future where all individuals can tell their own story”. Drawings created throughout his transition and written messages about his experiences as a deaf person were the start point for all the pieces.
Each hand-painted piece traces back to revelations connected to Man’s identity — and we're all about that.
