Fabien Montique blends the familiar with unusual perspectives in new zine.
You may have already heard from us about Fabien Montique's work. So far, he has collaborated with giants like Kanye West and Virgil Abloh as a creative consultant/photographer on music, fashion, tour & film projects.
And, in an exclusive chat with us, he revealed one of his favorite materials to photograph his powerfull human stories in well-crafted images:
"Leather has a lot of dimensions, and it can support many different narratives to reach a variety of end results. Leather can be sexy, hard, soft, practical, comfortable, and much more. And, for this versatility, it's one of my favorite materials to photograph."
Well, that explains why he chose a leather-looking sofa for his latest work: The Living Room. To mark the return of life outside the house, the photographer juxtaposes home comforts with stylistic experimentations in this limited edition zine shot for GREATEST.
A sofa transported from one location to the next lends an air of informality to Paris’ most historic sites, suggesting a sense of ease and intimacy one finds in their own living room.
"Uninterrupted comfort amidst the continuous hustle."
