Disney x Louis Vuitton reconstructed by Sheron Barber
Sheron Barber takes customizing leather pieces to a whole new level. He taught himself how to cut and sew in 2010 & since then he's been collecting big client names — like Drake, Rihanna, Pharrell, Usher, and many Super Bowl champions 🏆.
The piece of the moment is his mash-up of Italian leathers and authentic Louis Vuitton midnight eclipse & a hollow Mickey (perfect for being carried around). The two feet tall Mickey also reconstructed parts of Sheron's inspirations, after all, they are "just" a luxury house with a classic monogram & a creative man who gave birth to iconic characters (nop, we can't keep the words classic & iconic away from here).
In his own words, "I myself am a product of hip hop culture — this approach is what inspires my art." The modern twist to iconic figures is what makes this custom leather backpack become part of a movement that creates functional but singular design pieces.
