Discover what Cadillac Lyriq and Tchalamet have in common
What would life look like for Edward Scissorhands' son? Cadillac's first electric vehicle just answered that.
Super Bowl ads are known for the biggest budgets of the year, giving full Hollywood treatment for brand's new drops. This time around, Cadillac was looking for Tim Burton’s slim, pale-faced with “wildly trimmed” hair creation originally played by Johnny Depp in the 1990 cult classic — description that easily fits Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet.
To tell the story of how the all-electric hands-free Cadillac LYRIQ can be someone's triumph, they brought Edward Scissorhands' son, Edgar, to the front stage. Also starring the ad is Edgar's mother Kim Boggs, played by Winona Ryder reprising her role from the film.
Longtime Burton fanatic, Chamalet teamed up with the brand for the homage featuring a patchwork leather suit modeled after the original designs of the 12-times Oscar winner Colleen Atwood.
Cadillac LYRIQ’s hands-free driving technology is just the start of the car's interior experience. The electric SUV carries tech inside-out in a cabin filled with LED displays, a smooth hands-free option, and elegant leather seats to complete the sustainable & high-end feel to it.
Even someone with Scissorhands' genes could drive it.
