Axel Arigato x Carrots a colorful collab
#ICYMI, we recently interviewed the founders of Axel Arigato, MAX SVÄRDH & ALBIN JOHANSSON. Since then, their new launches and collabs have caught our eyes everytime, and if you wanna get to know the essence of the Swedish sneaker brand, be sure to read our full interview with 'em.
Axel Arigato has teamed up with US-based brand Carrots by Anwar Carrots — a lifestyle brand by Anwar Carrots that launched in 2015. It started with jersey clothing and, as time passed and experience was gained, broadened its horizons to kids clothing, accessories and even furniture. This nine-piece menswear capsule unveils both footwear with leather details and essential clothing staples. The range seamlessly combines the ethos of both brands, utilizing core product shapes and recognizable motifs from Axel Arigato combined with the vibrant signature colors of Carrots.
“With most things, I go off of the intuition and vibration I have with the other half. The majority of collaborations that spawn from Carrots are first come first serve. Max reached out and I’ve been a fan of the brand and imagery so I said why not. I like diving into new worlds, and territories when it comes to what we do. I love this collection for the simple fact that we’re giving the consumer the best of both worlds.”

Carrots has reworked some of Axel Arigato’s signature pieces, including the Clean 90 sneaker, infusing bright colors and co-branded elements throughout. The Clean 90 sneaker comes in both orange and green, both pairs handcrafted from premium leather and with Axel Arigato’s signature Bee-Eater Bird symbol embroidered onto the side pa- nel of the sneaker with the Carrots logo underlaid.

“The collaboration with Carrots made sense to us, because it’s unexpected. We both share playful emblems that our respective communities are very much into, so fusing these two signatures together in a new and exciting way was the goal. We want to continue to invite influential brands to interpret our signature designs in their own unique aesthetic and graphics.”
