6 KAH-BANE's custom concepts that we need to drop fr
Creative director & fashion designer KAH-BANE carries major street cred for his one-of-a-kind custom sneaker designs which mash together the hypest names in the streetwear scene into sleek designs — and we wanna add this drop to our collection IRL.
The special shout-out comes to his most recent design. Combining the distinct Nike x sacai VaporWaffle silhouette with the primary color palette of the 2020 Nike Challenger iteration, the mashup takes the best of both pairs and transforms them into one of unique form and vibrant design. Incorporating the genuine suede and leather elements from the OG pairs, the Nike x sacai VaporWaffle x Tommy Hilfiger concept features smooth suede in eye-catching bright blue and red finishes, with a sleek double Swoosh in blue and stark white leather on top.
Striking black accents around the base and dual tongue are borrowed from the VaporWaffle design for further contrast within the pair, but the true perfecting detail is seen on the laces. A natural choice following the primarily red and blue color scheme, custom Tommy Hilfiger llaces in their emblematic brand colors, woven on top of standard white laces, complete the design. When it comes to custom kicks, the hype is in the details.
Besides playing with strong colors, he knows how to bring a sustainable feel to the table. The Air Dior 1 Low x Nike Air Max Vapor Wing mixes the easy feel of the Vapor Wing with the high-end materials of the Air Diordan.
As you know, Louis Vuitton is stepping toward greener actions. And this mash-up trainer between of LV x Makeshift Studio x Nike Air Flare explores how upcycling can give new life to already-fire sneakers.
For futuristic concepts, hop on the Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle 2020 x Nike Air Zoom MMW 4 wagon. This Air by Matthew Williams looks extremely tech, and by bringing once again Sacai's deluxe suede uppers, KAH-BANE closes the deal right.
The Nike SB Alleyoop x Nike SB Heritage x Nike Drop Type x Off-White Rubber Dunk mixes 4 different silhouettes and continues to bring an elegant feel to the concept 🐉. With leather upper, this custom design is def one of the favorites from this list.
To close-off our list, we need to highlight this Adidas x Irak 2020 x Li-Ning. Mixing big names, including China’s premier sports brand, the designer created a concept that looks straight from the lab after dipped in suede.
Shout-out to the artist's conceptual skills, because you can practically feel the textures translated via screen.
