13 looks from the 2021 MTV VMAs you can’t miss
Of course, you have started the day overwhelmed by tons of red carpet shots, memes, and glimpses of what we're gonna call from now on the Lil Nas X supremacy. After all, it’s the VMAs, right?
The show’s signature is a combo of haters gonna hate vibe with its ostentatious performances and costumes that are a little bit wilder, more original, or even weirder than those from other awards’.
The 2021 nominees could still find new ways to blow people away, and Lil Nas X was the main responsible for giving the public pure life and sassiness while throwing a pink party for the Industry Baby performance.
This was everything we needed to confirm that Montero’s star doesn’t even need his clothes on to be the star of the night. But he was apparently not content with stealing only the show, so his choices for the red carpet and final speech were also a win.
In a head-to-toe lilac set by Versace, Lil Nas X got nominated for five VMAs. After having won the Best Direction award, Lil appeared in an ice pink leather set of biker jacket and pants from McQueen SS ‘22 to receive his Moon Person for the Video of the Year.
Ending the night with an on-point victory speech, Nas X thanks the gay agenda and says he won’t take this prize for granted. Crying in queer visibility language right now.
We have also noticed that the 2021 VMAs' guests presented us with some leather supremacy.
It seems that Kourtney would also make a good pair with another guest, tho — we can picture these two living a bucolic leather fantasy filled with tons of corset laces.
As if Normani’s choice for the red carpet wasn’t enough, is there anyone else speechless by her and Teyana Taylor together?
Billy Porter, who also introduced Nas X’s performance with a speech on black queer visibility, leaves no doubt that he actually is a fairy godmother.
Last but not least, the Queen of Pop is still among us.
