Waking up at the top of the world at The Bolder Sky Lodges
Nature refuges have become more and more in demand as life in big cities becomes more insane. A cabin in the woods is a very good option to rest and breathe fresh air with all the comfort and style of a modern home, but we want to take you to a more daring destination.
At the top of a fjord in southwestern Norway, on a rustic structure on top of a single-leg support system, is The Bolder Sky Lodges, a hotel that offers you unmatched views in a green experience and a cozy experience that only leather furniture can.
The two Lodges were built by architect John Birger Grytdal on one single column to minimize the footprint on the natural landscape. From the top of the Pulpit Rock, you will be able to prepare your breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen sitting on leather chairs inspired by Norwegian minimalist craft. All furniture designed by Vipp has this concept, comfort, tradition, and excellence in materials.
"My intention was to give visitors a front-row view to one of the best-known fjords in the world. The border between inside and outside had to be blurred to convey the feeling of floating in nature," says the owner of The Bold, Tom Norland, for the Livingetc website.
That’s the idea, to be different and better than everything that has already been done, connected to nature, the region, and the guests.
So, have you packed your bags yet?
