Visual designer Vasjen Katro explodes Mercedes into a digital reality.
How does the experience of an iconic car transcend reality?
We've already shown here a few times how visual designers exploit their best tools to create narratives for timeless machines. Iskander Utebayev took the leather seats of an Aston Martin to Metaverse while Chris Labrooy preferred to play with Porsches by the pool in California.
But Vasjen Katro seems to like to set fire to all kinds of Mercedes.
Obviously, they come out of this digital manipulation unharmed, just as Benz's seats withstand time. In his work, Katro puts these cars in the air with fire and smoke effects that blur reality.
In this almost imperceptible limit between what's real and what's not, the designer has already adapted to the future of art, making some of his works available as NFT.
We can no longer say where that experience might go, and that's kind of a good thing.
Travis Scott prefers real and touchable customization in his Jeep.
