Venetian House by Massimo Adario

Meet the Venetian House: a place with the touch of architect Massimo Adario, who lives and works in Rome, but has a deep attachment to Venice. Using ancestral techniques and adapting some to present times, Massimo pays homage to Carlo Scarpa in this charming and typically Venetian house.

In the living room, in front of a Camaleonda leather sofa by Mario Bellini and poufs (B&B Italia), playing with the contrast between surfaces and materials, Massimo creates openings to let light in. 🌤

Architect and designer Mario Bellini has been an influential figure in Italian design since the 1960s. His body of work spans architecture, urban planning, as well as furniture and industrial design. The nicely shaped sofa you spot in one of the Venetian House’s rooms is the Camaleonda sofa, a gorg leather piece designed in 1971, comprised of three units that can be linked together or used individually.
