Born of the partnership between the couple Kathryn Findlay & Eisaku Ushida, the architectural practice originating in Tokyo gave life to houses filled with fluid designs.

Ushida & Findlay Architects’ neo-expressionist buildings take inspiration from organic shapes that result in continuous landscapes, inside and out of these places.

These tube-shaped cushions covered with curved colored leather, which could highlight any corner, for example, are part of a reading room found in one of their most iconic projects.

The Soft and Hairy House (1992-94), based in Tsubaka, Japan, also has a bright blue pod that reminds an exotic fungus but is actually a bathroom.
