Tiago Lemos debuts his 1010 NB signature pair
THE 1010 NUMBER, already used in other categories by NEW BALANCE, HAS OFFICIALY JOINED its division of skateboarding, best known as NUMERIC.
If the news alone was not enough, the Brazilian skater Tiago Lemos, who was already giving previews of what was coming, is actually the big name behind the NUMERIC 1010 pair, the brand's first pro-model. Lemos is a skater who stayed at DC Shoes for almost 10 years, and now he has his own 1010 sneakers with New Balance.
Inspired by the heritage of the '90s and the technical reputation of New Balance in racing and basketball models, the brand introduced the NM1010. NB considers Tiago Lemos to be the world's best skater and it would be very difficult to find someone with so much skateboarding potential, technique, and style.
TIAGO'S FIRST SIGNATURE MODEL STARTS WITH a base layer of split-color mesh that comes in white for the toebox before switching to a vibrant royal blue on the tongue and heels.
The NUMERIC 1010 is reinforced by white leather overlays, which can be found circling the toebox, as well as covering up the quarter panels and heel counters.
Remember that you're not just walking in these shoes, you're skating, so they must be made of a durable material such as LEATHER OR SUEDE: always great choices when it comes to a durable shoe upper.
With hints of yellow running around the border, the italic N logo graces either side in black. The midsole tooling comes in white, housing NB’s FuelCell technology inside: for propulsion and cushioning on the sole of the foot, the upper features FantomFit to keep the foot in place, giving a safe lockdown during maneuvers.
