The Drops Leather Sofa from Brazilian estudiobola
Personality and simplicity combined: these are the core elements of the furniture produced by estudiobola, attributes attested by several awards in São Paulo, Brazil.
Authorial design, formal simplicity, and elegance. These are the backbones of the work of architects Flavio Borsato and Mauricio Lamosa, the names behind Brazilian estudiobola. Their creations are useful without neglecting essential good taste, and common without ceasing to aspire to boldness.
The idea behind the Drops Sofa design, for example, was to properly create a comfortable piece that had simple upholstery, separate from the structure. The steel structure meets the different colors of the leather upholstery.
While authentic, the brand's designs have mannish, architectural, and more neutral characteristics, which prepare the pieces for the industry and provide greater longevity — explaining the leather preference and the goal of making long-lasting furn.
We are no strangers to practicalities with no fuss of Brazilian pieces: always simple, never losing their charm, and always with a 'practical' touch to the elegance. Actually, we recently explored Oscar Niemeyer's designs inspired by his architecture.
