See why Ford Bronco is the OG off-roader
For decades, the Ford Bronco has been a game-changing member of off-roading culture ― and the brand is re-vamping its legacy to give back to the great outdoors.
Ford made waves with the Bronco in the 60s, having created a vehicle that's rugged enough for any adventure but with a higher-quality experience set within roomy leather interiors ― a standard for Ford after decades of incorporating premium leather into their designs. The deluxe ride quickly became a go-to for many, from utility workers to military members to adventurers who simply want to take on new journeys.
Reintroducing the SUV for 2021, Ford partnered with outdoor outfitter brand Filson to debut a completely unique concept vehicle with a noble mission ― to celebrate wildland firefighters and support the National Forest Foundation's conservation efforts. The Bronco + Filson Wildland Fire Rig Concept was timely unveiled during one of the most destructive wildfire seasons in history, and the idea arrives after a long history of both brands supporting the U.S. Forest Service.
With a fitting forest green exterior and rugged build, the Bronco + Filson Wildland Fire Rig may look like your standard forest ranger ride, but the interior details bring the model to life while telling a story. Filson's signature otter-green duck canvas is complemented by premium black quilted leather ― inspired by the linings of Filson Cruiser jackets, the official Class A attire of the U.S. Forest Service since the 1940s. To get the true off-road experience, the vehicle's top can be rolled back and secured with ultra-durable bridle leather straps, also by Filson. For a brand with a passion for nature, you can bet that their leather process is as sustainable as possible ― a six week process of vegetable tanning with eco-friendly, natural ingredients minimizes waste and creates an incredibly durable, lustrous leather that promises to only get better with age.
You can't beat elite build with an elite mission.
