Rick Owens and Dr. Martens launch a grunge 1460 Bex

In his first collab with Dr. Martens, Rick Owens brings his punk days back. The designer has a nostalgic relationship with the brand — the high-heeled leather boots of a teenager building his personality — which made this work personal and authentic.

They chose the 1460 Bex platform sole boot, with a chunky hardcore inspiration usual from Owen’s designs. It’s a classic DM’s silhouette in black smooth leather, but the dark-glam aesthetic shows his strength in the details, like the two long black&white laces tied in a geometric way.
