Since last year we've all been adapting our lives to be safer and healthier in the face of the pandemic, but there was something definitely very difficult for us to learn: to stay away from people.

Little by little the situation in the world is improving, and we can't wait to gather all our family and friends to celebrate. While this isn't possible, we'll keep you inspired to plan this reunion in an ideal environment, the Off-Grid Guest House of the Anacapa Architecture office.

Located on the coast of Santa Barbara (CA), this project exemplifies a successful balance of residential development and ecological preservation. The glass walls and decks bring nature and residents closer together, all built with green practices, resulting in sustainable systems and material selection.

The minimal footprint goes beyond the structures and lighting powered by a photovoltaic energy source, you can see it by the choices of interior designer Jessica Helgerson.

To complete the rustic, cozy, and sustainable environment, the leather designs create a frame for the view of the living room, with enough sofas to welcome everyone. The smooth brown leather dining table chairs are an invitation to prepare a 5-course meal, with dessert, wine, and to catch up until dawn.
