New leather Pasta Bag by Nik Bentel.
What do you do in the middle of your 100th bowl of penne pasta during lockdown? In Nik Bentel's case, he decided to create a leather bag out of the situation.
Known for satiric designs inspired by pop culture & the rethinking of materials, Nik is an artist and designer that aims to reimagine everyday objects with a twist.
The Pasta Bag expands the potential of the classic box of pasta in a full leather construction — while highlighting that gap between the original box material to an ever-lasting one that stays by your side even after your plate is empty.
The pandemic brought a bunch of reinventions of mundane objects while the world lives with new perspectives of what we can do during a whole day. And trying to give a new version to normal things might be the best way to coping with it all.
Printed on leather using UV tech, this highly-limited edition handbag had only 100 units produced and starts being sold on August 11 at Nik's website for US$199.
