Josh Crosbie's Lorne house.

To say that the kitchen is the heart of the house is a cliché, but if it really is, you'll want it to last a long time. Luckily for architect Josh Crosbie, the first owners of the Lorne house made a good choice of materials when they built it in 1965, so all he needed was to wait about 9 years to buy it in 2020.

The wait was worth it, as Crosbie found the house intact, making some decor changes and opening up space, as he has a big family. Fate or not, the large kitchen table and 8 leather chairs had always been there, waiting for him and for times to cook together on Great Ocean Road.
