Elton John’s 1987 Ferrari Testarossa went to auction.
Not only Grammys and chart records explain one of the most popular singers' unquestionable success.
The resale value his name adds to classic wheels is also a remarkable thing, and the 1987 Ferrari Testarossa was once again offered to the public, expected to be sold for US$216,000-US$250,000.
And it was actually bought in auction for US$420,000.
Once owned by Elton John, and being the second Ferrari to be part of his story, this ‘80s sports icon got a few distinguished touches, plus the fact it was actually a gift from MCA Records for John’s 40th birthday.
Minor wear and tear consistent for its age didn’t make the car lose its value. The interiors still feature original light tan leather seats, it has extremely low mileage and of course, gains all the attention thanks to the illustrious Rosso Corsa paintwork.
Whoever got this, it’s definitely ready for their very own rocket man experience.
