Don’ Be Mad to New Balance took form in a super fly suede NB pair

#ICYMI, Chicago-based designer JOE FRESHGOODS and his DON'T BE MAD label have teamed up with NEW BALANCE for a No Emotions Are Emotions collection, counting on this 992 and full set of apparel.

The Don’t Be Mad x New Balance 992 Anatomy of the Heart is a colorful remake of a classic NB silhouette. With tones inspired by Valentine’s Day, it has a mesh base with leather and suede overlays and a healthy dose of vibrant seasonal pinks and reds. The lifestyle-geared 992 offers a full pig suede with a veritable medley of different shades: a vibrant fuchsia base layer is overlaid by soft salmon tones on the midfoot and bright crimson on the toe, top/bottom eyestays and heel. This same fuchsia hue then receives a redux on the toebox and collar overlays.

To keep it luxe, tan leather is added into the mix, appearing at the tongue, the bottom of the throat, and the heel. Branding is provided by a pink N midfoot logo, small reflective 992 hit towards the collar, and a wordmark graphic on the tongue. Down below, the midsole is split down the middle between white and black, and is equipped with ABZORB cushioning. Tie-dye insoles and multiple lace options finalize the look.

If you feel the Anatomy of the Heart is that kinda pair you've been waiting for forever and didn't know it until now, the sad news is that they're sold out on the Don't be Mad website, but you can find 'em at select retailers.
