AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High with Megan Thee Stallion.
Well, we were right back in June. The AMBUSH x Nike Dunk really came back in a bright yellow colorway and the only thing that changed is the name, from Flash Lime to now being Atomic Green.
Released on July 30 for US$180, the collab dove into Japan’s motorcycle subculture to create a silhouette with pretty much the same build of what we'd seen on the brands' previous collabs. But this time around, its full leather upper comes paired with profile swooshes, collar areas, and bottom heel areas reworked under AMBUSH guidelines.
The drop's campaign even featured known faces like rapper Megan Thee Stallion & AMBUSH's very own designer Yoon Ahn styled in biker inspiration.
This is not the only striking drop AMBUSH co-founder Yoon Ahn has crafted recently. The creative is taking inspiration from the ever-expanding Japanese culture while planing what the future of fashion will look like.
Diving into the apparel scene even more now for its AW '21 campaign, the brand displays powerful pieces such as inventive & bright leather jackets with a genderless core from top to bottom.
Fluidity might be the biggest keyword for AMBUSH while they keep on dropping experimental pieces into a saturated market in deep need of fresh takes.
It can be in form of neon kicks or long leather trench coats, but the architectural & surreal silhouettes are staying in as Yoon Ahn envisioned.
